SDET 2 (Software Development Engineer in Test)

We are seeking a skilled SDET 2 with a strong background in front-end automation to enhance our quality assurance processes for web-based applications. This role is perfect for someone experienced with modern web automation frameworks and backend validations, looking to make a bigger impact on product quality from both UI and API perspectives.

< class="" data-start="2407" data-end="2437">Key Responsibilities:</>

  • Develop and maintain end-to-end automation scripts for front-end applications using Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.

  • Implement BDD testing practices using Cucumber.

  • Collaborate with front-end developers and product teams to understand UI flows and define test strategies.

  • Automate functional, regression, and smoke tests for browser-based applications.

  • Extend test coverage to backend layers using Rest Assured for API testing.

  • Validate data accuracy using complex SQL queries against the database.

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automation execution and reporting.

  • Mentor junior QA engineers and participate in peer code reviews.

< class="" data-start="3095" data-end="3139">Required Skills and Qualifications:</>

  • 3+ years of experience in a QA automation role with a focus on front-end testing.

  • Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript with deep understanding of OOPs concepts.

  • Expertise in automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium (with preference to Playwright/Cypress).

  • Hands-on experience with Cucumber for BDD-based test automation.

  • Working knowledge of API testing using Rest Assured and backend validation using SQL.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of test planning and execution.
