12 About the Role : Sr. Lead Software Developer - Enterprise Data Management

The Team : We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Software Developer to join our dynamic team. This role will provide technical leadership in building, enhancing, and optimizing our enterprise data management solutions. The Lead Developer will ensure efficient data processing, governance, and integration across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, software development, and enterprise data architecture, combined with leadership experience.

Responsibilities and Impact :
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust EDM solutions to support business needs.
  • Oversee the implementation of data ingestion, validation, and transformation pipelines for large-scale structured and unstructured data.
  • Guide the development and optimization of SQL databases for data storage, retrieval, and reporting.
  • Ensure high data quality and compliance with regulatory and security requirements.
  • Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to design scalable data solutions, providing technical leadership and mentorship.
  • Automate data workflows, monitoring, and alerting to improve system performance and resilience.
  • Manage system integrations, including APIs, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-based data services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related technical issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data management and cloud computing, and lead the team in adopting best practices.
Compensation/Benefits Information : (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $117,034 to $166,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on enterprise data management, including leadership experience.
  • Expertise inSQL and Python for data processing and automation.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks (e.g., EDM, Apache Informatica).
  • Familiarity with AWS and its data services.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to work in an agile environment.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead technical discussions.
  • We are a global team, and the candidate should be flexible in their work hours.
Additional Preferred Qualifications :
  • Experience with data modeling, master data management (MDM), and data lineage tools.
  • Knowledge of financial or market data processing and corporate actions is a plus.
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring a team of developers.
