Job Title: Deskside Support Engineer
On-Site | Lenexa, KS
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Deskside Support Engineer to provide day-to-day local desktop support across office and manufacturing environments. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and application issues, documenting resolutions in a ticketing system, and supporting end users both onsite and remotely. Occasional travel to other sites may be required, sometimes on short notice.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first and second-level contact and problem resolution for customer issues.
  • Deliver technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows 10, Microsoft Office, O365, and other approved applications.
  • Support and troubleshoot conference room technologies, including MS Teams Room systems, video cameras, speakers, and microphones.
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting, including cabling and connectivity.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to resolve complex audio/visual issues.
  • Execute new user onboarding processes, including device setup, handover, and training.
  • Provide end-user training within the desktop support domain.
  • Participate in IT project tasks such as office relocations, technology upgrades, and system rollouts.
  • Maintain ticket updates, asset management databases, and documentation.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and authorized peripherals.
  • Administer wireless devices and accounts with telecom providers.
  • Support Apple devices (Mac OS, iPads, iPhones) as needed.
  • Ensure user satisfaction with IT services and record critical data in ITSM platforms.

Desired Experience:
  • Windows 10, MS Office 365/O365, and Active Directory support.
  • PC hardware and IT network infrastructure installation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with help desk ticketing systems.
  • Mobile device management (iOS and Android).
  • Enterprise encryption solutions and endpoint management.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet SLA requirements.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Adaptability in fast-changing environments.
  • Willingness to work off-hours or weekends for projects or emergency support.
  • Experience working within regulated environments (e.g., GxP).

Skills & Competencies:
  • Desktop support and troubleshooting.
  • Windows 10 and MS Office proficiency.
  • Printer mapping and support.
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Work Schedule:
  • Core hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
