Position: Construction Manager
Location: Irving, TX
12 Month Contract w/ Potential Extension
Summary:
Our client is investing in its network to improve the way we live, work, and communicate. Our network transformation will be critical for all our future connectivity businesses including new products such as IoT, 5G, and future smart cities. As part of this network transformation, you will help build one network engineered for growth for all lines of business. Responsibilities:
- Weigh the pros and cons, including impact to the system, costs, compatibility, ease of use, reliability, timing parameters. Determining the equipment needs for new and existing cell sites based on engineering plans and project outlines.
- Coordinating the integration process to provide timely deployment of projects.
- Drive complex projects and programs to achieve targeted and measured business goals and key objectives.
- Coordinate and schedule resources across multiple organizations to align project requirements with business goals and objectives. Identify, monitor, report and escalate project-related issues to achieve timely resolution.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to mitigate impact to project schedules and overall business objectives.
- Utilize project tracking tools and systems to accurately document milestones completions, project issues, corrective action plans, project jeopardies, and overall project completions.
- Manage construction activities related to the development of multiple, simultaneous Network infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics or three or more years of work experience.
- Experience in the wireless telecom industry.
- Excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Must be well organized and able to work under time pressure.
- Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong technical and project management knowledge.
- Strong project planning and time management. Knowledge and experience with the full suite of Google Workspace, including data analytical features such as PivotTable and VLOOKUP.
Nice to Haves:
- BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics.
- Virtual Network Functions. VCP Orchestration Experience. CIQ Knowledge. IP Assignment and Troubleshooting Experience
- Switch Experience
- Samsung RAN equipment Knowledge.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Telecom technologies.
- Knowledge of RF, Transport and Wireless Construction.
- Ability to manage changing priorities, competing priorities, and situations in which guidelines can change.
- Knowledge of HUB, CRAN & DRAN architecture. Engineering, Planning, and/or Operations knowledge of 5G Wireless Networks. Power, Space and Cooling knowledge.
