Job Title: Sr SQL Developer / Administrator
Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid)
Experience: 9+ Years

Job Summary:
The Senior SQL Developer / Administrator will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend database systems and services with a focus on data ETL, automated reporting, dashboard development, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot database performance issues, data discrepancies, and web service/component functionality.
  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced, recurring automated reporting and dashboard solutions to support business objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for backend data systems during requirements gathering and project scoping.
  • Develop information tools, algorithms, dashboards, and queries to monitor and improve business performance.
  • Analyze data and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements for report and dashboard delivery and automation.
  • Create new business intelligence services and support to address emerging needs.
  • Lead and participate in technical code reviews, promoting adherence to best practices.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Expert-level skills in writing advanced SQL, creating packages, leveraging functions, building stored procedures, and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Strong knowledge of database management, MS SQL Server, and relational database concepts.
  • Excellent programming and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
  • Experience with data warehousing and data management concepts.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business decision-makers during requirements gathering and prototyping.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in relevant technologies.
  • Experience or knowledge of automotive inventory and vehicle-related data is a plus.
