Job Details

In search of a skilled Network Construction Manager - Permits for a long-term contract opportunity with a fast growing company in the telecommunications industry. This position sits in Albuquerque, NM and candidates must live in or be able to relocate in market at their own expense.

Job Description:
  • Review and/ or Prepare, submit, and administer permitting applications. These applications will be for attachment to utility poles, and in some cases for the occupancy and work involved within State and Local rights of way.
  • Request and record payment of permit fees internally or with vendor partners.
  • Report on high volume permit statuses, daily or weekly.
  • Enter data and information on company systems that include Microsoft Office, Sharepoint
  • Monitor progress of pole attachment and municipal applications and facilitate jurisdictional request for additional information.
  • Work with vendor design team to facilitate permit drawings and construction documents related to nodes, power and outside plant construction required.
  • Provide timely system updates and communicate effectively with all customers, both internal and external.
  • Communicate progress and delays on permits throughout the lifecycle.
  • Serves as liaison between to internal teams to obtain, administer and ensure compliance with general conditions of approvals at permit and construction stages of the project, meeting project timelines.
  • Work with key members of project team to ensure that permit related information, including costs, are disseminated or input to company reports or systems, when necessary.
  • Coordinate with project team to ensure that permit submittal packages meet local and statewide municipal requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendor partners to ensure building permits are properly closed out at the completion of construction as required for payment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, including, but not limited to Code Enforcement Staff, Building Inspectors, Members of City Councils, Planning & Zoning Staffs, Commissions and various neighborhood groups.
  • Support internal teams on review of agreements in collaboration with counsel in the course of our installing and maintaining facilities and operating its networks.
  • Provides research and advice to internal clients regarding various requirements, permitting, and impacts on project deployment.
  • Position is primarily
  • Must reside in, or near to (within 45 minutes) of the Albuquerque, NM market, for occasional on-site meetings or needs.
  • Other related administration or coordination, as necessary.

Risk Navigation: Assess and resolve complex permitting risks before they impact field operations. Strategic Permit Leadership: Own end-to-end permitting operations and optimize processes across jurisdictions. Demonstrated success influencing internal and external stakeholders. Familiarity with City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County zoning, and permitting regulations. Strong experience in multiagency, multi-jurisdictional environments. Collaborate and coordinate with internal and vendors functional groups to resolve issues, to facilitate progress and to achieve milestone targets, with the goal
of delivering networks on-time and on-budget. Collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to ensure that resulting designs can be permitted and are cost-effective. Identify key opportunities for process improvement, consistency and/or cost reduction.

Pay Range: $35-$40/HR depending on experience. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
