Job Details

My client is building core infrastructure for the future of financial systems, with crypto at the center. They re looking for a founding-level Security Engineer to define and lead their security approach from the ground up.

This is not a reactive role. It s about proactively designing and implementing secure systems before launch, working directly with crypto infrastructure, wallet design, and key management.

What you ll be doing:

  • Building out security engineering and operations from first principles

  • Leading application security reviews across crypto systems

  • Designing threat models and security roadmaps for sensitive infrastructure

  • Implementing governance aligned with PCI, SOC 2, and NIST standards

  • Establishing secure software development lifecycle and incident response processes

What they re looking for:

  • 6+ years in security engineering

  • At least 2 years in the crypto space (infra, wallets, custody, or compliance)

  • Experience building security programs from scratch

  • Leadership mindset with the ability to work independently in zero-to-one environments
