We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Quality Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This exciting role involves the application of engineering knowledge to ensure the production of high-quality products that meet customer and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Six Sigma, Process Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Engineering, AS9002:1994, ASQR-01, and aerospace quality. This position requires at least 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Act as the primary quality assurance resource to the manufacturing team for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement.
2. Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
3. Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents, and reports.
4. Assist in process certification by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data, and making recommendations.
5. Develop, execute, and analyze quality-reporting measures.
6. Report to management on quality issues and trends.
7. Participate in internal and external quality audits.
8. Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques where appropriate to improve the manufacturing process.
9. Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
10. Understand and implement the requirements of AS9002:1994 and ASQR-01.
11. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems and ensure that the manufacturing process delivers products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineer role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Demonstrated expertise in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Six Sigma, Process Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Engineering, AS9002:1994, ASQR-01, and aerospace quality.
4. Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent is preferred.
5. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
6. Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Proficiency in using various software and computer applications for data analysis.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
10. Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
11. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
12. Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
