About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Process Consultant to support a strategic

T-OT (Transformation Operations & Technology) Program based in New York. The consultant will play a lead role in assessing, redesigning, and optimizing

core finance processes to support the client s enterprise-wide goals of a

Unified Financial Foundation, enhanced cross-functional integration, and improved

compliance and scalability.

This is a business-critical position, interfacing with finance leadership, IT, compliance, and operational teams to ensure the successful transformation of financial workflows, systems, and reporting structures across a complex multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Process Design & Optimization:

  • Lead end-to-end process discovery, assessment, and redesign for key finance functions: GL, AP, AR, FP&A, fixed assets, intercompany, close & consolidation.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, gaps, manual workarounds, and opportunities for automation or standardization.
  • Design future-state processes aligned with ERP system capabilities and
  • global finance operating models.

Strategy & Execution:

  • Translate business objectives into actionable transformation initiatives across financial operations.
  • Align process improvements with system configuration in ERP (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday).
  • Partner with functional leads and IT to define data flows, controls, reporting outputs, and audit compliance checkpoints.

Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation:

  • Collaborate with CFO organization, controllership, shared services, and compliance teams to gather requirements and align on outcomes.
  • Lead workshops, design sessions, and validation cycles with finance, operations, and IT stakeholders.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure redesigned processes are SOX-compliant and meet SEC reporting, audit readiness, and internal control standards.
  • Embed financial governance, risk, and control mechanisms into future-state designs.

Change Enablement:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and coaching to functional teams adopting new tools, workflows, and roles.
  • Support training, communication, and transition planning for go-live and post-implementation stabilization.

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in finance transformation, process consulting, or finance operations leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise in finance process reengineering, shared services, and global finance operating models.
  • Experience working on large-scale ERP implementations (Oracle Cloud, SAP S/4HANA, Workday Financials, NetSuite).
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX, and SEC compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to bridge business and technology functions and deliver measurable improvements.
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; MBA or CPA preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with process mining, automation (RPA), or finance analytics platforms (e.g., BlackLine, OneStream, Anaplan).
  • Exposure to IPO readiness, M&A integration, or multi-entity consolidation programs.
  • Familiarity with data governance and financial master data standardization.
