Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst with strong analytical and SQL skills to support marketing campaign analytics and data stewardship activities. This role involves analyzing campaign data, validating attributes, and ensuring that the right data is being used to support business and marketing objectives. The candidate will collaborate with marketing stakeholders, data owners, and technical teams to drive insights and ensure data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze data elements related to marketing campaigns and determine if teams are aligned with business objectives.
Conduct data discovery to understand existing datasets, data lineage, and business use cases.
Review, validate, and interpret SQL code to ensure accuracy and consistency of attributes.
Work with data owners to confirm data sources, definitions, and stewardship responsibilities.
Redefine existing attributes or derive new attributes by writing SQL queries or raising tickets for data engineering teams.
Partner with marketing teams to understand strategy, business needs, and ensure upstream and downstream data flows are properly aligned.
Provide input on data governance by identifying gaps, validating attributes, and ensuring proper documentation.
(Optional/Light) Support creation of dashboards or reports to communicate findings.
Required Skills:
Strong proficiency in SQL (writing, reviewing, and troubleshooting queries).
Solid understanding of data analysis, data discovery, and data stewardship concepts.
Ability to interpret business and marketing use cases and translate them into data requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Data Owners, and Engineering.
Good communication skills for interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with marketing analytics or campaign data.
Familiarity with data governance or data stewardship practices.
Exposure to BI tools for dashboards and reporting (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Marketing, or related field.
