Position: Data Warehouse/BI Developer
Duration: 6 months -Remote

Short Description:
The seeking a skilled d/BI Developer with 3 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and supporting Azure-based business intelligence and data warehouse solutions. This role will support the agency's data analytics initiatives and work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and support enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.
- Develop scalable data integration workflows using ETL/ELT tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory).
- Build and maintain star schema models, including fact and dimension tables and metadata documentation.
- Develop SQL scripts, queries, stored procedures, and optimize performance for large datasets.
- Utilize Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric for cloud-native data warehousing.
- Create visual reports and dashboards using Power BI Service.
- Implement and follow data governance, data quality, and data lineage best practices.
- Integrate data from structured and semi-structured sources (e.g., relational databases, flat files, APIs, cloud storage).
- Apply DevOps practices including CI/CD for data integration pipelines and use of source control systems.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues such as anomalies, ETL job failures, and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
- Document data models, workflows, and data contracts clearly and effectively.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with enterprise BI/data warehouse development.
- Strong proficiency with ETL tools like SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Azure Data Factor.
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric.
- Advanced SQL development skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, and views.
- Experience in building and managing star schema models.
- Expertise in Power BI Service for data visualization and reporting.
- Deep understanding of data governance, quality, and lineage.
- Experience integrating data from multiple structured and semi-structured sources.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum or DevOps teams.
Highly Desired:
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) or SQL Server certifications.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
