Description

Engineer, develop, release, continuously improve, and set Component Technical Specification (CTS) for GM Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) high voltage battery (Rechargeable Energy Storage System or RESS) low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) wiring harnesses and connectors, busbars, fuse boxes, and chassis mounted fasteners, using Siemens NX, Teamcenter, Teamcenter Vismockup, and Engineering Change Management (ECM) tools, in compliance with U.S. and international standards including Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J1772 Electric Vehicle and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 62196 Plugs, socket-outlets, vehicle connectors and vehicle inlets - Conductive charging of electric vehicles parts 1, 2 and 3 standards. Write passenger vehicle Component Technical Specifications (CTS) to define appearance, mechanical, electrical schematics (including voltage, input/output signals), functional requirements including thermal performance, minimum rate of charge, squeaks and rattles performance, operation efforts, flammability, modal frequency, communication standards, and validation for each component. Evaluate new suppliers' engineering and manufacturing capability by leading Technically Approved Supplier List (TASL) process.

Additional Description

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or related field, and two (2) years of experience as an Engineer, Mobility Associate, or related role. Must also have experience with: developing and releasing passenger vehicle system or subsystem electrical components including wiring harnesses.
