Job Description
The Agile Execution Lead will work side by side with the F-22 SW Lead and the F-22 Weapon Systems Lead to drive optimal Scrum/Agile performance across all Product Line Teams (PLTs). The Agile Execution Lead will be a part of the Product Integration Team (PIT). The PIT coordinates and ensures overall technical execution for F 22 Weapon System releases.
You will partner with the Agile PLTs, Chief Engineering, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other technical leads to ensure the PIT delivers F 22 Weapon System releases efficiently and predictably. The role will coach teams in Scrum & Agile at scale practices, remove blockers, optimize flow, and maximize "work not done". Upholding the Agile pillars of *Transparency, Inspection, and Adaptation*.
Key Responsibilities
Coach Scrum and Agile at scale practices across F-22 Product Line Teams, ensuring optimal performance of defined processes
Ensure valuable component of Agile development are a part of all team's execution model
Mentor team leads on backlog refinement, capacity planning, and flow optimization
Lead the Definition, collect, and analyze actionable performance metrics (e.g., velocity, lead time, DORA metrics)
Support regular status reviews and reports for SW Lead, Weapon Systems Lead, and senior leadership
Use value stream maps, metrics, and trends for insights to develop and recommend continual process improvements
Align teams quarterly capability development plans with F 22 release milestones.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of hands on experience in large scale Agile (Scrum/SAFe) environments, preferably on DoD/DoW contracts.
Demonstrated ability to define, collect, and act on Agile performance metrics (e.g., velocity, lead time, DORA).
Proven track record of coaching multiple cross functional teams, removing impediments, and improving flow.
Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and related Agile tooling (configuration/administration a plus).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership. Able to coordinate across teams, business areas, and companies.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across hardware, software, and system engineering domains.
Desired skills
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
Experience with DevSecOps, GitLab, and continuous delivery pipelines.
Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., Cameo) and digital engineering concepts.
Prior experience on high visibility weapons system programs (e.g., F-16, F 22, F 35).
Knowledge of Earned Value Management and Cost Account Management.
