Quality Assurance Analyst

Overview: We are seeking a mid to senior level Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manual software testing, with a focus on back-end testing, including testing APIs and related components. As a SQA Analyst, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive test plans and test cases, executing tests, identifying and documenting bugs or defects, and collaborating closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues. This is a 4-month contract role with the possibility of extension. Candidates must be local to Brookfield, WI to come onsite as needed.

Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Strategy:

• Develop thorough test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage across various scenarios.

Test Execution:

• Conduct manual testing of back-end systems, including APIs, databases, and other components.

• Execute test cases to identify bugs or defects and ensure software quality standards are met.

Defect Management:

• Document and track identified bugs or defects using designated tools or systems.

• Provide detailed information and reproduction steps for identified issues to facilitate efficient resolution.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to understand software functionality and resolve issues effectively.

• Clearly communicate testing progress, findings, and potential risks to project stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes and methodologies.

• Proactively contribute to the improvement of software quality standards within the organization.
