Job Description
A reliable and skilled driver to support our engineering team in testing dashcams and other devices used in real-time driving environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving both light and heavy-duty vehicles, capturing dashcam footage, and simulating real-time driving conditions to support testing procedures. Effective communication with the engineering team is key, as you will be required to follow instructions and provide valuable feedback for product development.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (light/heavy-duty vehicle experience preferred).
- Experience driving various types of vehicles, including trucks, vans, and cars.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the engineering team.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to various testing scenarios.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and ability to perform minor checks before and after tests.
- Comfortable working in different weather conditions and varying traffic environments.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate reporting and data capture.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability to meet project testing schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive light and heavy-duty vehicles as required for testing purposes.
- Capture dashcam footage while following test protocols in real-time driving conditions.
- Simulate various driving environments to test and evaluate dashcam and device functionality.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to follow detailed instructions for device testing.
- Communicate effectively with the engineering team to report issues, provide feedback, and ensure successful data capture during testing sessions.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained and ready for testing, including pre- and post-test inspections.
- Maintain a log of all testing activities and any issues encountered during testing.
- Assist with loading and unloading test equipment or devices in preparation for testing.
- Ensure safety standards are met while driving and handling vehicles during testing.
