Job Title: Low Voltage Security Systems Designer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Security Systems Designer to lead and support the design, layout, and implementation of security systems including access control and CCTV systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in low voltage systems and have experience in system design, CAD tools, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and support various Access Control Systems, including card readers, biometric systems, and keypads.
- Configure and integrate CCTV systems using IP cameras, analog systems, DVRs/NVRs, and video analytics platforms.
- Install and support Low Voltage Systems (12V-48V), adhering to local building codes and electrical safety standards.
- Create detailed CAD layouts and schematics for security systems using tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit (preferred).
- Produce technical drawings and wiring diagrams for equipment placement and cable routing.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop scope, budgets, and schedules.
- Oversee technical implementation of projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Experience with major security platforms such as Avigilon, Genetec, Axis, Pelco, Amag, Lenel, and DXS.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in low voltage system design and implementation.
- Proficiency in CAD software for security systems layouts.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and security standards.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and project coordination skills.
