Senior Data Center Technician

World Wide Technology is looking for a Senior Data Center Technician. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $40.00 to $50.00 hourly on W2 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.

Senior Data Center Technician

East Wenatchee, WA

THURSDAY- SUNDAY SHIFT- with some night shift requirements as there are "maintenance windows" that occur off hours from time to time

Level 1 Technician who can lead others by high quality work/actions is probably better suited.

The Technician I - Telecommunications Data Center will be responsible for assisting maintaining and optimizing the performance of our telecommunications infrastructure. This role requires an understanding of data center operations, network systems, and telecommunication protocols. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of troubleshooting and assisting in resolving complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.

Key Duties

• Equipment Installation and Configuration: Set up and configure servers, routers, and other network hardware.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Regularly monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve hardware and network issues.
• Cabling and Infrastructure: Manage and organize network cabling.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and system updates.
• Technical Support: Assist higher-level technicians and provide basic support to end-users.
• This role typically requires basic technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to operational protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
• data center or IT environment is preferred
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications and networking equipment, including routers, switches, and servers.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis.
• Experience installing and removing network and power cabling are highly desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
