Software Engineer

Location: Huntsville, AL

Description:

Seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to support the Systems Simulation, Software, and Integration Directorate (S3I) in Huntsville, Alabama.

Responsibilities:

Implement new features based on customer requirements

Implement bug fixes found during development and integration testing

Participate in daily scrum activities

Participate in sprint planning, review, and demo activities

Required Skills:

Experience with an object-oriented language (C#, Java, C++, etc.)

Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, etc.)

Experience with software development tools - code editors, debuggers, code generators, and test tools

Experience with or knowledge of modern software design and methodologies (design patterns, development lifecycle, etc.)

Experience with or knowledge of Agile software development

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills


Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance

Desired Skills:

Experience with WPF/MVVM

Experience with Java Swing

Experience with Spring Framework

Experience with Maven

Experience with data-driven design

Experience with distributed computing

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering)

3+ years of professional experience with software development
