Join our IT Support team

Our team is responsible for providing 24*5 Support to IT Applications built on the latest tech stack and consumed by internal business functions to support Akamai customers. We collaborate with cross-functional teams and business units to deliver application support and services.

Partner with the best

As a Senior Systems Support Engineer, you'll work on both cloud and on-premises applications. You'll be collaborating with stakeholders and internal teams to understand IT application needs and ensure efficient support and operations. Your role includes troubleshooting technical challenges, guiding the team, and delivering effective resolutions.

As a Senior Systems Support Engineer , you will be responsible for:
  • Configuring, administering, and maintaining ServiceNow instances, ensuring stability, regular updates, patches, and performance optimization
  • Designing and enhancing workflows, forms, reports, and integrations to streamline processes and drive platform automation.
  • Ensuring CMDB accuracy by collaborating with stakeholders, reconciling data across discovery tools and authoritative repositories.
  • Staying current with new ServiceNow releases, apply updates, and leverage functionality for continuous platform improvement.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, analyze root causes, implement fixes, and prevent recurrence.
  • Providing user support, troubleshoot platform challenges, and maintain accurate documentation of processes and procedures.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking, effective problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work independently or collaboratively in teams, guiding engineers while aligning efforts with business initiatives.
  • Possess ServiceNow Administrator certification and deliver 24/5 rotational support with weekend on-call responsibilities.
  • Represent changes in CAB, contribute informed technology opinions, and align design decisions with organizational strategy.

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $80,900 - $168,100/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
