Senior LLM Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a remote Senior LLM Developer to join their team.

Summary:
The client is seeking a developer to assist with the LLM team for development of a program. The developer will be building scalable API's in python and langchain that process over 600 transactions per second that directly tie into the LLM's they are building. The individual will need to be strong in python, langchain, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery and LLM's. They will also be working heavily with vector stores as well as building pipelines. These LLM's are still in beta phase but are expected to augment and enhance. A lot of the work will also be considered -prompt engineering- which is designing the AI tool to have the most desired outputs.

REQUIREMENTS:
* LLM-Focused Backend Developer
* Extensive experience with Python, and Scalable API development using FastAPI, Tornado
* Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG Architecture, and Prompt Engineering
* Familiarity with LangSmith, LangGraph, or other agentic framework technologies
* Experience with technologies like Pinecone, Google Vector Store, Vespa, or AstraDB
* NoSQL: Proficiency with BigTable, Cassandra, or HBase
* Big Data Platforms: Experience with BigQuery, Apache Spark, and Apache Beam
* Orchestration Tools: Familiarity with Google Cloud Composer or Apache Airflow
* Relevancy experience: Search retrieval and ranking experience
* ML Ops experience: ML for retrieval and ranking like model training and deployment pipeline experience using Python and Google Cloud Platform tools
* Feature engineering for batch and runtime model inferences
* General understanding of retrieval systems, concepts, challenges
* Strong communication, innovation, passionate, want to learn and reach new horizons

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
