Description

We are looking for an experienced User Experience (UX) Researcher with a strong passion for outdoor activities, particularly fishing, to join our dynamic team. In this long-term contract role, you will contribute to the design and development of a mobile application tailored for the American fishing and outdoor community. Your insights will be instrumental in creating user-centered solutions that enhance the overall experience.

Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth user research to understand the behaviors, preferences, and challenges of the target audience.
Design and execute user tests to evaluate the functionality and usability of the mobile application.
Develop detailed user scenarios and personas to guide the design process.
Analyze qualitative data to uncover meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
Map user journeys to visualize and optimize the end-to-end experience.
Collaborate closely with product designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure research findings are integrated into the design.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in UX research, particularly for outdoor and recreational apps.
Provide clear documentation and presentations of research findings to support decision-making.
Advocate for the user perspective throughout the development lifecycle to ensure a customer-centric approach.

Requirements

Proven experience in UX research, with a focus on user testing and qualitative methods.
Strong skills in crafting user scenarios, personas, and journey maps.
Ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable insights.
Familiarity with mobile app development processes and user-centered design principles.
Excellent communication skills to present research findings effectively.
Passion for outdoor activities, particularly fishing, is highly preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
Knowledge of current trends and tools in UX research.
