Senior Qualtrics Analyst

Remote

Day-to-Day Tasks

  1. Dashboard & Report Creation, Configuration, and Ongoing Support

Set up and maintain Qualtrics dashboards for real-time visualization of KPIs.

Configure filters, segments, and calculated fields for deeper insights.

Automate scheduled report deliveries to stakeholders.

Export and blend Qualtrics survey data with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio

for extended analysis.

Configure and maintain XM Directory, ensuring contact list hygiene, deduplication, and

integration with external CRMs or CDPs for personalized targeting.

Validate vendor-produced dashboards or reports to ensure data accuracy and alignment with

business requirements.

  1. Integration with External Systems and Data Connectivity

Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Qualtrics and external systems (e.g.,

Salesforce, AWS S3, Snowflake, BigQuery, Adobe, or internal APIs).

Configure Qualtrics Data Connectors and APIs for automated data ingestion and export.

Manage authentication, permissions, and secure data transfer between systems.

Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to align Qualtrics datasets with

enterprise data models.

Validate upstream and downstream data flows, ensuring integrity through QA and

reconciliation tests.

  1. Automation, Scripting & API

Develop Python or SQL scripts to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)

between Qualtrics and enterprise data stores.

Create and manage scheduled jobs for recurring integrations.

Use Qualtrics Workflows (Actions, Webhooks) to automate event-based notifications, data

routing, or record updates.

Execute historical data updates and backfills using Qualtrics API.

Monitor automation processes, troubleshoot failed runs, and implement retry or alert logic.

  1. Data Analysis & Insight Generation

Perform upstream invitation data analysis.

Manipulate and transform files (CSV, JSON, Excel) to structure clean datasets for analysis.

Build pivot tables and perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends.

Evaluate data accuracy and reliability through QA of vendor-delivered datasets or

dashboards.

Synthesize findings into actionable insights, answering Whats the impact? type questions

for business partners.

Collaborate with BI and marketing analytics teams to merge survey data with CRM, product,

or behavioral data.

  1. Backlog Management & Operational Execution

Maintain and actively manage the analytics and integration backlog in collaboration with

business stakeholders.

Prioritize and refine requirements to ensure alignment with strategic business goals.

Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents related to survey data, dashboards, and

integrations.

Route support tickets or enhancement requests to appropriate team members or vendors.

Document issues, root causes, and resolutions for knowledge sharing and process

improvement.

Collaborate closely with vendors, providing requirements, QA, and feedback on deliverables;

Define direction, and set expected deliverables and SLAs.

  1. Survey Design, Configuration & Deployment

Translate business needs into survey designs, applying advanced logic, branching, embedded

data, quotas, and randomization.

Implement display logic and dynamic content to enhance respondent experience.

Set up email, SMS, and anonymous link distributions; monitor and optimize response rates.

Configure Qualtrics Mobile SDK and Website Feedback/Intercepts, including targeting,

creative setup, and integration with app/web codebases.

Test and debug surveys end-to-end to ensure correct data capture and logic flow.

  1. Stakeholder Communication

Gather and document business requirements for new surveys, dashboards, and integrations.

Present findings and recommendations based on survey insights.

Train business users on dashboard interpretation and data best practices.

Ensure compliance with privacy and security standards (GDPR, CCPA) across all Qualtrics

assets.

Skill Set

  1. Qualtrics Platform Expertise

Advanced configuration of surveys, branching, logic, quotas, and embedded data.

Dashboard creation, segmentation, and calculated fields in Qualtrics XM.

XM Directory management and automation of panel invitations.

Experience with Qualtrics Workflows, Actions, and Webhooks for automation.

Deployment and maintenance of Website Feedback and Mobile SDK integrations.

  1. APIs & Integrations

Proficient with Qualtrics API and RESTful integrations for data retrieval, updates, and exports.

Experience with connecting Qualtrics to Salesforce, AWS S3, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Adobe

Experience Platform.

Understanding of authentication (OAuth2), API rate limits, and error handling.

Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration and real-time streaming setups.

  1. Programming & Automation

Strong scripting ability in Python (Pandas, Requests, NumPy) and SQL for ETL or automation.

Familiarity with PowerShell or Bash scripting for batch automation.

Experience validating, reconciling, and automating data transfers between systems.

  1. Data Analysis & Reporting

Skilled at upstream data analysis, data cleaning, and building analytical datasets.

Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, lookups).

Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio for visualization.

Ability to interpret survey data in business context (NPS, CSAT, driver analysis).

QA and validation of vendor-produced reports or dashboards.

  1. Backlog & Operational Management

Creating and managing business and system requirements for surveys, dashboards, and

integrations.

Experience managing a backlog of production incidents, business requirements, and

integration work.

Prioritization of requests based on business value and urgency.

Incident management and troubleshooting production issues.

Documentation and communication of technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills for bridging business and technical teams.
