Job Details
- Candidate with good exposure and experience on the different types of SAS environment architectures. GPFS cluster configuration, Metadata Management etc.
- Troubleshooting capabilities at infra level, SAS application level and SAS jobs to have clear understanding of issues
- Installation experience with upgrades and building power HA environments with good DR
- Address DR failover seamless with automation scripts and very minimal manual interventions
- Good understanding about touch points to have failure alerts configures to react proactively before use complains.
- Hands-on experience on SAS EBI suite
- Hands-on experience on working in Unix/Linux and Shell scripting
- Responsible for Monitoring, reporting, and controlling SAS Server usage
- Good debugging skills to identify issues in Data and at Infrastructure level.
- Can describe existing technology infrastructure across all major functions/departments and has a comprehensive grasp of emerging technologies:
- Has a competent understanding of safe and effective support practices
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
- Hands on experience in SAS BI on SAS 9.2, SAS 9.4 Grid platforms, including SAS Connect, SAS/Intranet Server, SAS OLAP Server, SAS Metadata Server, SAS Object Spawner
- Knowledge on tuning the SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Server Platform to optimize the Server Performance
- Experience with databases like Oracle.
- Strong understanding of software languages, platforms, tools, ITIL framework and methodologies such as SDLC and agile
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in migrating SAS Enterprise Server to SAS Grid in Linux environment.
- Experience in Infrastructure analysis tools like Ganglia, App Dynamics
- Ability to schedule and Monitor Jobs via Tivoli Work Scheduler, LSF
