Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Solutions Architect with a strong background in application security to design and implement secure, scalable, and robust cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Azure architecture and modern security practices, ensuring that all application workloads comply with enterprise and regulatory security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect end-to-end solutions on Azure that are secure, scalable, and performance-optimized
• Embed application security best practices (e.g., secure coding, threat modeling, DevSecOps) into the full development lifecycle
• Define and enforce security architecture patterns, controls, and guardrails for Azure-native applications
• Lead the integration of identity and access management solutions (Azure AD, OAuth, OpenID Connect, RBAC, etc.)
• Implement secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Perform architecture reviews and security assessments of applications and workloads
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure alignment with enterprise security policies
• Leverage Azure-native tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, Key Vault, Sentinel) to enhance security posture
• Document architecture designs, security recommendations, and operational procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 5 years in Azure
• Strong knowledge of application security concepts, OWASP Top 10, and secure coding practices
• Hands-on experience with Azure security services (e.g., Key Vault, Security Center, Defender for Cloud, Azure Firewall)
• Solid grasp of identity and access management in cloud-native applications (Azure AD B2C, RBAC, SSO, MFA)
• Experience implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) with tools such as Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform
• Familiarity with container security (AKS, Azure Container Registry, Azure App Services)
• Proven ability to conduct threat modeling and vulnerability management
• Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and automated security scanning tools (e.g., Snyk, Checkmarx, SonarQube)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert or SC-100 / AZ-500 certifications
• Experience with Zero Trust architecture implementation
• Knowledge of regulatory standards like HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001, or SOC 2
