Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Infrastructure Manager for an opportunity with one of our premier clients in Brookfield, WI (HYBRID).

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring it remains secure, reliable, and scalable to support business growth. In this high-impact role, you will oversee multiple teams responsible for networking, servers, storage, cloud, and cybersecurity systems while driving strategic planning, budgeting, and infrastructure optimization. The ideal candidate brings proven leadership in IT operations and infrastructure management, balancing hands-on technical expertise with strategic oversight to deliver enterprise-wide solutions.
Position Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor teams that design, implement, and maintain IT/BT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and data centers.
  • Develop and manage budgets supporting IT/BT infrastructure and maintenance.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
  • Coordinate telecom network circuit provisioning and ongoing management.
  • Implement and manage security measures that protect IT/BT systems and data.
  • Oversee software and licensing management.
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements across infrastructure technologies.
  • Continuously assess system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead IT infrastructure projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
  • Develop, communicate, and execute strategic IT/BT infrastructure plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Create and enforce policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Document network security and incident response policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into network design and deployment.
  • Evaluate emerging security technologies and trends to strengthen security posture.
Requirements
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field experience required.
  • 10-15 years of relevant industry experience.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in networking, systems, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience managing technical teams and building collaborative environments.
  • Proficiency in network security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and SIEM solutions.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
  • Solid understanding of systems communication needs on critical business paths.
  • Experience with security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex issues and deliver effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
