Job Details

Role: Sr. OpenStack Engineer Location: San Jose CA(Remote)
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy OpenStack cloud infrastructure.
  • Configure and manage OpenStack components (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Swift, etc.).
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Networking).
  • Develop automation scripts using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support Tier III customer issues.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve cloud efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
  • Required Skills:
  • Deep understanding of OpenStack architecture and components.
  • Strong Linux system administration skills.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, Go).
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (KVM, Xen).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (IP subnetting, load balancing, firewalls).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Version control systems (Git).
  • RESTful API development and integration.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing or OpenStack development.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
  • Certified OpenStack Administrator (COA) is advantageous.
