Job Details
Role: Sr. OpenStack Engineer Location: San Jose CA(Remote)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy OpenStack cloud infrastructure.
- Configure and manage OpenStack components (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Swift, etc.).
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Networking).
- Develop automation scripts using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Maintain technical documentation and support Tier III customer issues.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve cloud efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
- Required Skills:
- Deep understanding of OpenStack architecture and components.
- Strong Linux system administration skills.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, Go).
- Experience with virtualization platforms (KVM, Xen).
- Familiarity with networking concepts (IP subnetting, load balancing, firewalls).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Version control systems (Git).
- RESTful API development and integration.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud computing or OpenStack development.
- Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
- Certified OpenStack Administrator (COA) is advantageous.
