Jr. NOC/Computer Operations Analyst

Location: onsite at Macon, GA(Shift A or B-the candidate must be open to working in either shifts, hour lunch and some weekends involved, may have to work a Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat also)

Job Type: Very Long term Contract(work as long as you want)

Important Notes:

  1. Initially, we are seeking an Jr. NOC/Computer Operations specialist, someone with systems and networks monitoring, testing, basic troubleshooting experience. After some time, this role will transition into a NOC Analyst, and training will be provided for that.
  2. Require at least 1 year of experience in monitoring systems and networks. We can provide training on all other tools. Looking for an entry-level candidate with a mix of operations and network experience, and we can train them on all the tools.
  3. Initially, the working hours will be from 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday, or Sun-Thur, or Tue-Sat.(will decide later)
  4. Knowledge or some experience in Data Center Environment.

Required:

  • Experience in Data center environment- desired
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills would be a must for either side.
  • Monitoring of systems and Networks, can train on all of the other tools.
  • Looking for entry level a mix of Ops and basic Network some experience but can train with all of the tools.
  • Minimum two years' experience preferred but since entry level, work with a little less also.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Possesses excellent customer service skills and represents us in a professional manner.

Knowledge of Fundamental/Foundation in networking LAN/WANs, Protocols, Interfaces

Knowledge of Networking equipment Modem, Firewall, Switches, AP

Window Administration - A/D, Server Roles (PDC, BDC, File Server, App Server) DHCP, DNS.

Basic understanding of Virtualization, Cloud, & VIOP.

Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems

Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory

Knowledge of managing Tape libraries: tape backup, tape mounts, tape storage and tape inventories(like IBM 3584 tape library.

Knowledge of executing, Monitoring and maintaining batch jobs scheduling.

Possesses ability to read & comprehend written technical information in form of technical manuals.
Knowledge of Microsoft O/S and configuration and Microsoft Exchange/Outlook.
Knowledge of software installation in a windows environment including policies, INF files, scripting, INI files, Windows Registry and directory structure. Knowledge of PC hardware and software, diagnosis, configuration and installations.
