Senior Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Houston, TX seeking a Senior Project Manager.

Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage large-scale IT projects across the full lifecycle, ensuring alignment with financial and strategic goals
* Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
* Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations, providing financial oversight and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
* Apply Waterfall and Agile methodologies as appropriate; act as Scrum Master or Project Lead depending on the project framework
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, RAID logs, and communication plans
* Identify, assess, and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues proactively
* Lead project meetings, status reporting, and stakeholder communication at all organizational levels
* Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices in project delivery, governance, and team collaboration
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards
* Mentor junior project managers and contribute to PMO process improvement initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred
* PMP, PMI-ACP, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification required
* 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in IT project delivery
* Strong understanding of financial systems, processes, and reporting (e.g., ERP, budgeting tools, compliance systems)
* Proven ability to lead both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall projects; hybrid delivery experience a plus
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
* Proficient with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
