Location: PA-Audubon, Hybrid 1-2 days onsite

Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Linux Administrator, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.

Responsibilities:

Administer, configure, and maintain Linux (Red Hat/Oracle) and OpenShift clusters, ensuring high availability, reliability, and compliance in air-gapped and disconnected environment

Design and implement automation solutions using Ansible, including playbook development, role creation, and workflow orchestration focused on configuration management, deployment, and system maintenance

Leverage GitOps principles using Argo CD for continuous deployment and environment synchronization

Conduct performance tuning and system optimization across Linux and OpenShift environments

Apply security best practices for hardening systems, implementing access controls, auditing, and patch management in line with organizational and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, STIG, CIS)

Perform system monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis for system failures and performance issues

Maintain documentation of infrastructure configuration, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, security, and network engineering to support application deployments and environment provisioning

Support change management, version control, and configuration management processes in restricted networks

Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to internal staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

Stay up-to-date with the latest tools, technologies, and industry trends related to Linux, OpenShift, and infrastructure automation

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Linux systems administrator in enterprise or mission-critical environments, Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred

3+ years of OpenShift administration, including deployment, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting

Proven experience managing systems in disconnected or air-gapped environments

Advanced proficiency with Ansible, including automation of system tasks and infrastructure as code (IaC)

Hands-on experience with Argo CD and GitOps workflows in Kubernetes/OpenShift environments

Solid understanding of networking, DNS, storage, and container orchestration concepts

Experience with security hardening, compliance auditing, and configuration baselining (e.g., SCAP, OpenSCAP)

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control (Git), and DevSecOps principles

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset and attention to detail

Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $110,000 or the hourly equivalent.
