RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and oversight of our global network infrastructure. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Southern California, requiring presence five days a week. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-performance connectivity across all enterprise locations and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and hands-on leadership to evolve and secure our network ecosystem.
Overview:
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture, scalability, and performance of Kforce's enterprise network. You'll guide the development and implementation of robust solutions across LAN, WLAN, WAN, SD-WAN, internet, and cloud platforms. This role demands close collaboration with infrastructure and application teams to align network strategies with business and security objectives.
Duties:
* Define and drive the strategic roadmap for enterprise network architecture and operations
* Lead the implementation and support of network technologies across corporate offices, data centers, and cloud environments
* Ensure network performance, reliability, and security through proactive monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning
* Develop and enforce policies and procedures for network management, security, and compliance
* Oversee 24x7 network operations, including change management, troubleshooting, and escalation protocols
* Manage vendor relationships and cross-functional coordination with internal teams
* Provide leadership and mentorship to network engineering staff
* Maintain domain registrations and SSL certificate lifecycle
* Document network standards, configurations, and operational workflows
* Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities across all network layers
* Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure network solutions meet evolving organizational needs
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
* Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent are highly preferred
* 15+ years of IT experience, with at least 10 years in network engineering
* Prior experience in a network leadership or managerial role
* Expertise in advanced networking technologies: MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN, VxLAN, Wireless LAN, Dot1x, firewalls, and load balancers
* Proven experience in designing and managing medium-scale data center networks
* Strong knowledge of DNS, domain management, and SSL certificate administration
* Familiarity with VOIP systems and cloud networking (Azure and Oracle Cloud preferred)
* Experience managing multi-site network environments
* Understanding of ITIL and COBIT frameworks
* Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
