Job Title: NextGen (Workday) Project Manager
Location: Hybrid Atlanta, GA (onsite presence required as directed)

We are seeking an experienced NextGen (Workday) Project Manager to support a large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) transition initiative. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the organization's transition from a legacy system (e.g., PeopleSoft) to Workday (NextGen). The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and the state ERP service providers to ensure timely and effective implementation.
Key Responsibilities:-
Lead and coordinate ERP transition/rollout activities in alignment with the overall project schedule.

Act as liaison between internal business units (Finance, HR, Procurement) and external implementation teams.

Organize and facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure clear communication of project updates, risks, and decisions.

Track project milestones, monitor critical dates, and provide progress reports to leadership.

Identify potential schedule or performance issues and propose corrective actions.

Ensure team members are equipped with the tools and training needed for a smooth transition to Workday.

Work closely with PMO and QA teams to implement and maintain standards, procedures, and quality benchmarks.

Conduct testing reviews and confirm deliverable acceptance with business stakeholders.

Foster a collaborative and transparent working relationship with project sponsors and vendors.

Bachelor's degree in a related field or specialized training (Master's degree preferred).

5+ years of IT project/program management experience or equivalent IT leadership role.

2+ years direct experience with Workday (NextGen) ERP rollouts.

3+ years managing an enterprise-level Workday implementation.

PMP certification from PMI or equivalent (Certification proof must be provided).

Experience leading high-complexity projects within the last 2 years.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Experience working in a state government or public sector environment (Required).
