Job Title: Database Architect
Location: Nashville TN - Remote
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Architect with expertise in Microsoft Azure to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions that align with our organization's objectives and leverage the capabilities of the Azure platform.
Responsibilities
l Design and architect scalable and high-performance database solutions in Microsoft Azure.
l Evaluate and recommend appropriate database technologies and configurations based on project requirements.
l Develop and implement effective data models to support application requirements.
l Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and other best practices.
l Implement and manage Azure SQL Databases and other Azure data services.
l Ensure data security, integrity, and availability in Azure environments.
l Collaborate with application developers to design and implement database schemas, stored procedures, and queries.
l Utilize scripting languages, such as T-SQL or PowerShell, for automation and optimization tasks.
l Design and implement data integration solutions between on-premises and Azure environments.
l Collaborate with ETL developers for seamless data movement across systems.
l Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
l Monitor and analyze database performance, addressing issues promptly.
l Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and outages.
Qualifications:
l Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
l Proven experience as a Database Architect with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
l In-depth knowledge of Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and other Azure data services.
l Strong proficiency in database design, data modeling, and SQL scripting.
l Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
l Familiarity with data security and compliance standards in cloud environments.
Preferred Skills:
l Azure certifications related to databases and data services.
l Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Azure Cosmos DB.
l Knowledge of data warehousing and analytics solutions in Azure.
l Familiarity with Azure DevOps for database deployment and automation.
