Description

The Role

Product Cybersecurity owns the cybersecurity posture protecting all GM products, systems, components, in-vehicle applications, mobile and back-office vehicle-connecting applications globally. As the Product Cybersecurity Intel Coordinator, your responsibilities will include collecting, analyzing, disseminating, coordinating, and implementing cyber threat intelligence that is relevant to the vehicle and the connected vehicle ecosystem.

What You'll Do

Specific responsibilities include:

  • The timely collection and advanced warning of impending vulnerabilities or threats
  • Correlating, analyzing, and storing threat intelligence information.
  • Fulfilling the duties of incident response coordinator for Product Cybersecurity, including but not limited to, updating processes, managing and executing incident exercises, archiving incident artifacts, and identifying and updating lessons learned and best practices.
  • Managing GM's coordinated vulnerability disclosure program submissions related to the vehicle and connected ecosystem.
  • Representing GM and leading various standing committees of the Automotive Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Auto-ISAC) and other industry groups as required.
  • Preparing summaries of cyber incidents in response to organizational requests and regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Identifying and sharing cyber-attack trends with security staff to inform threat and risk assessment modeling.

Your Skills and Abilities

  • Intelligence Community experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding collaboration, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to interact effectively with direct managers, staff, and senior leaders in both technical and business roles.
  • Understanding of and experience with the intelligence lifecycle, security event monitoring concepts and escalation processes.
  • Able to defuse situations, work around defensive attitudes, and deal with diverse personalities to achieve assignment objectives.
  • Ability to learn and retain new skills, as required, to meet the demands of a rapidly changing technical environment.
  • Ability to work non-standard shifts and/or on-call to support the requirements of the organization.
  • Ability to create and maintain good business relationships with industry peers and superiors, customers and external entities to achieve security incident management goals.
  • Experience with open source and commercial security management tools.
  • Experience documenting threat intelligence in a consumable manner that non-technical professionals can easily understand.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • At least five years of post-graduation professional workplace experience with demonstrable cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 25% max)
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle
