Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cisco Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a Top Secret security clearance and have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructures, with a focus on Cisco systems. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of our networked systems and data to support our mission-critical operations, specifically supporting the Navy.

The ideal candidate will possess a Top Secret security clearance and have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructures, with a focus on Cisco systems. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of our networked systems and data to support our mission-critical operations, specifically supporting the Navy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain secure and scalable Cisco network infrastructures.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement network policies, standards, and practices.
- Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system issues.
- Monitor network performance and reliability, proactively identifying potential improvements.
- Conduct regular security assessments and implement mitigating controls to address vulnerabilities.
- Provide support for network changes, upgrades, and project planning.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures, especially those related to Top Secret clearance requirements.
- Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, topologies, and processes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and advancements in networking and cybersecurity.
Qualifications:
- Top Secret security clearance (mandatory).
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer, with a strong focus on Cisco network systems.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desired.
- Security+ certification or higher (mandatory).
- Expertise in network security, firewall configurations, and VPNs.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and switching protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud networking and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of additional network security practices and tools.
- Experience in a government or defense environment, specifically supporting the Navy.
