Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Linux Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux server environment and will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our infrastructure. This role involves managing CI/CD pipelines, configuring virtual environments, and supporting cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and replicate development, test, and deployment execution environments.
Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline failures using tools such as GitLab and Jenkins.
Set up Jenkins master, install necessary plugins, and add agents to support scalability.
Install and configure VMware ESXI hosts (vCenter and vSphere) and create templates for virtual machines.
Clone virtual machines to create exact copies of production servers for testing.
Design and enhance robust Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Maintain version control systems, including GitHub, for software development projects.
Plan and manage projects, making key technological decisions.
Write Ansible playbooks for code deployment and configuration management on RHEL 7 and 8.
Utilize PowerShell scripting for network management, integration, automation testing, deployment, and configuration management.
Support CI/CD configuration tools and testing implementation.
Debug and resolve issues with operating system configurations, services, networking, and environment configurations.
Manage cloud resources using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
Use Jira for project updates and documentation.
Build and maintain Docker container clusters managed by Kubernetes Engine on AWS.
Perform administrative duties including patching, backup and restore, upgrades, configurations, and system health monitoring.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Linux Engineer in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
Experience with VMware ESXI, vCenter, and vSphere.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Ansible.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent project management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
Familiarity with Jira for project management.
