Your responsibilities will involve reviewing and monitoring payroll exchanges between HASTUS and the Rail/Bus divisions, clearing tickets, and coordinating with IT on HASTUS user access, along with other related duties. You will collaborate with the scheduling team to set up the HASTUS Bid. Additionally, you'll oversee operations bidding in the HASTUS Bid web to ensure efficiency and accuracy in our scheduling processes. As a key team member, you'll protect the integrity of our extensive transit databases while performing quality assurance checks to verify data accuracy. You will work closely with operational staff and technical specialists to drive innovation and support seamless operations within our bus and rail departments. Summary
The Technical Systems Analyst is responsible for assisting in the acquisition, maintenance development, implementation, and integration of transit data fundamentals to various Department of Planning and Scheduling systems. The incumbent is tasked with streamlining the timetable development and layout procedures using state-of-the-art software packages, Database Management Systems (DBMS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The incumbent also assists in the analysis, review, preparation and implementation of various projects and programs for the Authority.

Essential Functions
- Maintains databases related to all transit data at the Authority, to include route traces, bus stops, stations, Automatic Vehicle Location system, fare collection and all other downstream applications and 3rd parties. Implements and updates databases according to defined schedules and coordinates with schedulers and planners in the Department of Service Planning & Scheduling.
- Performs quality assurance (QA) checks for Planning, Scheduling and facilities data. Executes technical data quality control efforts for the operations and maintenance database and systems.
- Participates in the ongoing Systems Integration program, with particular reference to brail operations data and serves as transit systems database expert for the Authority. Maintains liaison relationship with all relevant WMATA departments using and developing transit data, as well as numerous software and hardware vendors.
- In accordance with applicable codes, principles and standards, provides daily technical support to schedulers, planners, and any other team involved in transit data work within the Authority.
- Coordinates with technical specialists to disseminate data to WMATA bus and rail fleets, Digital Modernization and other business partners involved in brail service integration.
- Resolves problems related to system design and implementation by reviewing and recommending approval of functional and technical design documents, program enhancements and modifications of scheduling applications.
- Performs user needs analysis for updates, modification, and implementation of scheduling systems.
- Trains operations staff in use of scheduling software. Tests installations of new and upgraded software.
