Position: Oracle HCM Integration Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid Model)
Job Type: 3-6+ Months Contract to hire (FTE)
Job Overview:
- Our client is looking to hire an Oracle HCM Integration, Security & Governance Manager within our HRIS team.
- We re seeking a strategic and technically skilled professional to lead the integrity, security, and connectivity of our global Human Capital Management (HCM) ecosystem.
- This role is critical to enabling efficient operations and safeguarding sensitive employee data across the organization. Ideal candidates should be open to considering full-time employment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud Integrations
- 3+ years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud Core HR
- Deep understanding of Oracle HCM Cloud architecture and integration tools (Oracle Integration Cloud, REST APIs).
- Experience with enterprise systems integration (payroll, benefits, finance, identity management)
- Management experience
Security & Compliance Knowledge:
- Strong grasp of global data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Experience managing role-based access controls and audit protocols.
Project & Change Management:
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage change in complex environments.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks and data stewardship practices.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to identify risks, troubleshoot integration issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
Regulatory & Audit Readiness:
- Experience supporting compliance initiatives related to ISQM, ISO, and GDPR.
- Understanding of data retention policies and access control frameworks.
Nice to Haves:
- Preferred experience using Oracle PL/SQL and Unix Scripting for Middleware Integration.
- Preferred experience performing Design & Build Enablement.
- Oracle Cloud certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities:
Integration Leadership:
- Drive the integration of new entities into Oracle HCM, ensuring seamless data flow and system alignment.
Integration Strategy & Execution:
- Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of integrations between Oracle HCM and other enterprise systems (e.g., payroll, benefits, finance, Snowflake, AD, etc.).
- Ensure data flows are accurate, timely, and compliant with internal and external standards.
Security & Compliance Oversight:
- Manage role-based access controls, data privacy settings, and audit protocols to ensure compliance with global data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Security Oversight:
- Develop and manage robust access control frameworks.
- Perform segregation of duties (SOD) activities based on analysis findings.
- Safeguard sensitive HR data through effective privacy configurations and audit readiness.
Governance Framework Development:
- Establish and enforce governance standards for Oracle HCM usage.
- Implement change management protocols, data stewardship practices, and system configuration guidelines.
- Configuring automations to allow for the archiving and purging of data within Oracle to support data retention requirements by jurisdiction.
Risk Mitigation & Compliance:
- Proactively identify and resolve integration failures, security vulnerabilities, and compliance risks.
- Ensure business continuity through strong risk management practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with other internal teams to support downstream integrations, validations, and compliance with ISQM, ISO, and GDPR standards.
