Title : GIS Analyst
Location : Atlanta, GA
Client Information Technology GIS team is seeking a candidate who is an experienced GIS Analyst. The candidate should be highly motivated and a self-starter who has demonstrated successful experience implementing and supporting GIS solutions in a structured environment. Their primary duties include compiling, analyzing, and interpreting spatial data through various GIS applications. The candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills, detailed-oriented and be both team-oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform a variety of GIS tasks across database, server, and desktop environments in an Oracle and ESRI environment.
  • Create, maintain, and quality control Enterprise datasets using various ArcGIS tools.
  • Assist GIS team to provide Map Services and Applications to the Enterprise through ongoing configuration, modification, and maintenance of Oracle Spatial and ESRI s ArcGIS Server.
  • Work with internal Business Partners and other IT teams to develop use cases and requirements for potential new projects and applications.
  • Support the systematic testing and debugging of new and enhanced applications.
  • Assist end-users to install, configure, and troubleshoot ArcGIS Desktop.
  • Build backend and frontend tools using Model Builder, Python, SQL, JavaScript, and Shell Scripts.
  • Create insightful analyses, reports, and visualizations highlighting Enterprise GIS data.
  • Document GIS procedures, applications details, user instructions, and other necessary communications as required.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 4+ years in GIS analysis, processing, data collection and creation using ESRI products.
  • 4+ years using, customizing, and supporting a broad array of GIS solutions.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Esri s GIS solutions, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, Server, and SDE.
  • Experience using relational databases, particularly Oracle Spatial and Oracle SQL with GIS.
  • Deep knowledge of spatial data, related models, formats, coordinate systems, and conversions.
  • Great understanding and prior experience with Linear Referencing Systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to good visual skills for cartographic presentation.

  • Exposure ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Network Analyst, ArcGIS Workflow Manager, ArcGIS Branch Versioning
  • JavaScript, Esri s JavaScript API, React, TypeScript, AngularJS, Ext JS, jQuery, Dojo.
  • Visual Studio/ GitHub / Jira
