Description

We are looking for an experienced iSeries / AS400 RPG Programmer to join our dynamic team in Novi, Michigan. In this position, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining programs that enhance organizational productivity and efficiency. This is a Contract-to-Permanent opportunity, offering the chance to contribute to impactful projects while growing professionally.

Responsibilities:
Design and develop new programs as well as enhance existing applications for the company's iSeries / AS400 system.
Build full-stack solutions, including user interfaces, program logic, and database components.
Collaborate with business teams to identify and implement solutions that improve productivity and operational efficiency.
Create detailed user and system documentation to support developed programs.
Coordinate implementation processes, including training and support for new applications.
Participate in testing and debugging to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Work with cross-functional teams to align programming solutions with company goals.
Develop and integrate APIs to extend system functionality.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance technical capabilities.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in programming with AS400/iSeries RPG, including Free-format RPG.
Strong understanding of functional system knowledge and analytical problem-solving skills.
Experience working with APIs and integrating them into existing systems.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
Familiarity with modern software development practices and tools.
Prior experience with advanced system functions or related technologies is a plus.
