Job Details
Piper Companies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Signal Integrity Engineer to work on-site in Saratoga, CA five days per week. The ideal Signal Integrity Engineer will have an expertise in 100+ Gbps speeds and advanced simulation techniques.

Responsibilities for the Signal Integrity Engineer:
- Analyze signal and power integrity for high-speed interfaces (Ethernet, PCIe, DDR4/DDR5) in AI networking ICs
- Create and validate models for system integrity, covering chip, package, and PCB transmission lines
- Design power delivery networks, manage decoupling, analyze IR drop, and mitigate power noise
- Define guidelines for signal and power integrity, including PCB layout, stack-up, trace routing, and component selection
- Test and validate SI/PI integrity using tools like TDR, VNA, and oscilloscopes
- Work with circuit design, packaging, and firmware teams to troubleshoot and optimize SI/PI parameters
- Lead simulation and optimization for high-speed interfaces, addressing issues like crosstalk, jitter, and ISI
Qualifications of the Signal Integrity Engineer:
- 10+ years of experience in signal integrity engineering with a strong focus on SerDes technologies
- In-depth knowledge of 100+ Gbps SerDes speeds
- Proficiency in signal integrity simulation tools
- Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and BERTs (Bit Error Rate Testers)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
Compensation for the Signal Integrity Engineer :
- Salary Range: $230,000 - $280,000 annually
