Job Description:
Apex Systems is seeking a Process Engineer to join a growing company near the Louisville, KY area.
The Process Engineer will be responsible for spearheading process improvement initiatives aimed at waste reduction, quality enhancement, and efficiency augmentation.
The ideal candidate will lead the development and implementation of Lean Manufacturing processes and tools, conduct comprehensive analyses of existing processes to pinpoint improvement areas, and execute robust process enhancement strategies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing processes and tools.
Analyze current processes to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and execute process improvement plans.
Monitor process performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless implementation of new processes.
Generate detailed documentation for all new or modified processes.
Uphold a safe working environment by adhering to safety standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited University.
Possess deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen Facilitation (5S, Std Work, SMED, TPM).
Demonstrate proficiency in Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI, Lean Mfg Visual Daily Management, Tier 1-4 Boards).
Display adeptness in Project Management Office (PMO) methodologies for complex Productivity/OEE Improvement projects.
Experience in Automotive Industry (or similar) Quality Systems is advantageous; APQP, PFMEA, Corrective & Preventive Actions, Control Plans, etc.
Must have a minimum of 3 years' relevant working experience.
