My name is Van and I work as a Sr. Technical Recruiter with Sysmind. We been a trusted partner to Fortune 500 clients for over 25 years, helping bridge critical staffing gaps with top industry talent. We are currently seeking a Sr. Developer to join our team for an exciting project.
Role: Sr. Developer
Location: Chicago, IL/Dallas, TX/Arizona
Duration: 6+ months with possible extension
Job Description:
- 8+ years of experience working with AS400 systems and RPG programming.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Modern RPG (RPG IV, Free Form RPG).
- Expertise in Synon or equivalent tools for system design and development.
- Strong understanding of RxClaim and healthcare claims processing systems (preferred).
- Proficiency in debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of AS400-based systems.
- Experience with DB2 for AS400 and data modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and software development best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with modern development tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps).
- Familiarity with integration of AS400 systems with modern technologies or cloud environments.
- Experience in RxClaim platform or similar claims management systems (preferred).
- Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, .NET) is a plus.
