About the Role:

This role is ideal for a career Microsoft infrastructure leader who still enjoys rolling up their sleeves. The Senior Director of IT Infrastructure will oversee the full lifecycle of corporate IT systems from strategy and vendor management to daily operational oversight. You ll lead a small internal team, oversee multiple MSPs, and be the point person for keeping systems secure, scalable, and running at 99.9% uptime.

What You'll Do:

Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and drive IT infrastructure roadmap in alignment with business growth and security goals.

  • Partner with InfoSec leadership on hardening corporate systems and implementing proactive threat measures.

  • Lead a small team and set expectations for a high-performance, service-oriented culture.

  • Own and improve IT policies, change management, and DR/BCP practices.

Infrastructure Oversight

  • Oversee Active Directory for all corporate entities and subsidiaries design, architecture, and performance.

  • Manage hybrid cloud environment, enterprise-wide M365 stack, and all networking, telephony, and hardware lifecycles.

  • Coordinate with vendors and MSPs on SLA performance, system health, and strategic upgrades.

  • Take ownership of corporate systems architecture including servers, firewalls, endpoints, and collaboration tools.

  • Track and report on IT operational KPIs; ensure uptime, security, and end-user satisfaction.

Vendor & Project Management

  • Serve as point of contact for all MSPs establish SLAs, track metrics, and escalate when needed.

  • Provide cost-benefit analysis for technology upgrades and new tooling.

  • Lead vendor negotiations, contracts, and long-term service agreements.

  • Oversee implementation and integration of new enterprise applications.


What You Bring:

  • 10+ years in IT infrastructure management; strong preference for those who have built their career in Microsoft environments.

  • 5+ years leading IT teams with accountability for infrastructure, networks, and systems.

  • Demonstrated experience managing and holding MSPs accountable to KPIs and uptime standards.

  • Expertise in AD, M365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, backups, disaster recovery, and Windows Server.

  • Solid networking fundamentals: switch, firewall, and routing experience.

  • Experience with hardware lifecycle, project prioritization, vendor evaluation, and process documentation.

  • Ability to toggle between big-picture strategy and hands-on support when needed.
