Job Summary

- Develop and implement security solutions aligned with organizational objectives and security requirements.
- Architect, engineer, and administer trusted security technology systems to ensure secure network environments.
- Operate, sustain, and maintain network security infrastructure, including advanced configuration of security tools (e.g., Palo Alto firewalls, F5 WAF, Illumio, Proofpoint, IDS, AWS security tools).
- Advise management on cybersecurity policies, processes, and procedures.
- Respond rapidly to network issues, outages, and change requests to minimize downtime.
- Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve capacity, performance, and availability issues.
- Create and implement automation to improve efficiency, deployment speed, and reduce errors.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for incident response and support.
- Mentor and provide guidance to other engineers and facilitate cross-training to share knowledge and workload.
- Maintain expertise in core network security concepts, including TCP/IP, IP subnetting, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VPN, WAN connectivity, and microsegmentation.
- (Bonus) Work with AWS security tools, Proofpoint Email Security, Splunk, and Palo Alto SOAR as needed.
- Maintain required certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CISA) upon hire.
