Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft HCM Technical Consultant to support integration and enhancement efforts between Oracle-based recruitment systems and PeopleSoft HCM. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to analyze client needs, design scalable solutions, and ensure system functionality aligns with service delivery goals.
This role demands expertise in PeopleSoft HCM modules such as Workforce Administration, Position Management, Benefits, and Payroll, along with a deep understanding of Oracle databases, PeopleSoft tools, and modern integration methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain inbound/outbound integrations between Oracle Recruitment and PeopleSoft HCM.
- Provide technical analysis and consulting services to support HR business needs and system enhancements.
- Configure and customize PeopleSoft HCM modules, focusing on Workforce Admin, Position Management, Benefits, and Payroll.
- Develop and maintain code using PeopleSoft development tools: App Engine, SQR, PeopleTools, and Fluid UI (asset).
- Write, modify, and debug shell scripts (Linux scripting experience is a plus).
- Conduct system and design walkthroughs with project teams and stakeholders.
- Support technical testing phases: unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing, including documentation and technical walkthroughs.
- Provide post-implementation support and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Document solutions, processes, and user/system guides as required.
- Ensure compliance with AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) and related accessibility standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in technical roles supporting PeopleSoft HCM environments.
- Strong knowledge of delivered PeopleSoft functionality, configuration, and packaged integrations.
- Proven experience in PeopleSoft tools (App Engine, SQRs, PS Tools); Fluid UI and Linux scripting considered assets.
- Hands-on expertise in Oracle Database Management Systems and application-level database administration.
- Demonstrated ability to support unit tests, technical specifications, and collaborative reviews with testers and clients.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; proven ability to problem-solve, adapt to changing requirements, and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of programming Internet-ready applications and middleware/gateway technologies.
- Experience with RAD methodologies and modern architectural styles (event-driven, message-oriented, reactive systems).
- Familiarity with Information Management best practices and post-deployment support models.
- Ability to document solutions and participate in cross-functional design sessions
