Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with 15+ years of experience, including recent work with State of Texas . This role involves managing complex public healthcare IT projects within the State of Texas and requires proven leadership in Agile environments.
Only candidates local to the Austin area (within a 50-mile radius) will be considered. The work schedule is 3 days remote, 2 days onsite (Thursday & Friday).

Mandatory Qualifications:

15+ years of Project Management experience
5+ years of experience working with State Healthcare Clients
PMP Certification (must be mentioned on resume; verification may be required)
Local to Austin, TX (within 50-mile radius)

Project Overview:

The selected PM will lead the Invoice Tracking System Replacement Project for the DSHS CFO, collaborating with both IT and program teams. This includes driving timelines, deliverables, risk/issue management, scope, budget tracking, status reporting, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end delivery of complex healthcare/IT projects within state government
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, deliverables, risks, and change requests
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, feature-driven sprints, and progress tracking
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and sponsors
Track project financials and ensure delivery within budget
Oversee SDLC documentation, technical translation of business requirements
Present weekly status updates and escalate key issues as needed
Maintain compliance with PMP and Agile project management practices

Preferred Skills:

Deep experience in Agile project management within public health domains
Experience with state-level IT transformation projects
Exceptional written/verbal communication, reporting, and stakeholder coordination
Ability to work independently in fast-paced, collaborative settings

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: 3 days remote, 2 days onsite (Thursday & Friday)
