Seeking a motivated 1st shift leader for Metrology & Test Equipment Maintenance Technical Engineering role at Raytheon, located in Andover Massachusetts. The Department offers maintenance repair and calibration support for over 450 test platforms supporting numerous production programs. The Department provides support in providing solutions to address test equipment obsolescence and new platforms. The complement of test stations serviced includes digital/logic & solid state, Radio Frequency, DC, AC power, vibration, in-circuit probe test, linear measurement, and burn-in, ESD among many others.

In this role the candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Calibration procedures, product troubleshooting, while at the same time identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities in support of the MTEM calibration department located in Andover, MA.

What You Will Do
  • Prepare detailed documentation of calibration procedures, results, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze calibration data to identify trends and root causes of failures, and implement corrective actions to improve product quality and yield. Collaborate with design, process, and manufacturing engineers to optimize performance and manufacturability.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality management systems.
  • Provide technical support and training for the department regarding calibration techniques and equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance calibration efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Minimum 4 year experience in repair/calibration of test measurement or diagnostic equipment.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with ISO 17025 and ANSI Z540 metrology standards is a plus
  • SAP / PRISM experience is a plus
  • Experience with statistical analysis and process control methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with aerospace and defense industry standards and requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
