Job Description
The HL7 Integration Developer Lead - Integration Services within the IT PMO (Program Management Office) & Governance Team calls for someone with exceptional written and verbal communication skills that will apply principles, techniques and best practices in the planning, organizing and implementation of high-profile and complex programs. The right candidate must have experience preparing and managing project documentation, deliverables, milestones, resource management, and schedules. This individual must possess sound judgement, a high degree of professionalism and ready diplomacy as he/she will partner with other EITS units and H+H departments to deliver the Projects in a timely and efficient manner.
We are seeking a hands-on HL7 Integration Developer Lead to guide a team of integration specialists while actively contributing to the development and support of Healthcare interfaces. This role requires deep technical expertise in HL7 V2.X, FHIR, Intersystems IRIS for health, and EPIC Bridges Integration engines.
Duties & Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy new HL7 interfaces to support clinical operational, and third-party systems integration
Serves as a technical lead, providing architectural guidance and overseeing interface development best practices.
Manage and assist Business analysts and developers in analyzing and documenting business requirements and processes; communicate requirements to technical personnel through the construction of basic conceptual data, process models and flowcharts, and technical specifications
Perform Code Reviews and technical training sessions, to ensure developers follow current industry trends in interoperability, FHIR APIs, and emerging health care standards
Provide guidance, and assistance, in deployment of interface builds to Epic Bridges, and to Ensemble, Production environments
Use Service Now Demand process, and Clinical and Revenue Cycle leadership to assess the integration requirements for new projects/upgrades, and assign them to team members as appropriate. Manage the progress of all assigned Demands to ensure timely completion
Integration liaison for Architectural Review sessions, Epic and EITS CAB calls, weekly Epic Review sessions, Ensemble Infrastructure calls, and other H+H identified project meetings
Work closely with various teams within IT, including the MRC-Ensemble/AIX Infrastructure teams, and Intersystem WRC Support to manage all aspects of the maintenance of EPIC, and IRIS platforms
Review, assign, and assist team members in responding to Nova Notes tasks and Care Concern bulletins in a timely manner.
Maintain ownership and accountability for assigned projects
Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field of study; and
2. Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems and applications.
Operations Specialty requires supervisory experience (5 years).
Network Services requires a telecommunications background and experience.
3. Broad knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and retrieval techniques; or
4. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
