Our enterprise client has a Permanent job available for a Senior Level Server Engineer with solid Exchange background in an enterprise environment.


Candidates will work in a hybrid locatiion in central New Jersey and a Bachelors degree is required for this role.


Candidates will be providing support for our collaboration tools (Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams and will help with automation solutions and configuration.


Will be responsible for managing and optimizing our private and public cloud infrastructure including Windows Server and Active Directory.


Working on initiatives in automation and reporting, including hardening and configuration management while ensuring they align with industry best practices.


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Lead Hybrid Exchange Online Management and Administration: Architect, engineer and provide second and third level support for email related systems.
  • Innovate Through Automation: Design and implement automation for repetitive tasks such as system builds, configurations, and application installations, dramatically increasing efficiency and reducing manual workloads.
  • Optimize Infrastructure Performance: Ensure our infrastructure applications operate at peak performance and capacity, directly contributing to the robustness and scalability of our services.
  • Elevate Security Standards: Implement and maintain advanced server security settings, proactively reporting deviations and swiftly remediating issues to uphold the highest levels of security and compliance.
  • Architect Cutting-Edge Solutions: Take the lead in designing innovative solutions, driving them from initial analysis through to full implementation, and shaping the technological direction of the company.
  • Provide Exceptional Technical Support: Be the go-to expert for technical support, delivering swift and effective solutions that keep our operations running smoothly.
  • Demonstrate Commitment and Flexibility: Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation every 9 weeks and be prepared to engage in off-hours activities and support, showcasing dedication to maintaining optimal system performance.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience working in the financial services industry and with financial applications required.
  • Ability to collaborate with resources across multiple disciplines including Server/Platform Engineering, Networking, Application Development, and Information Security.



  • Strong Windows Server skills including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and support.
  • Proven experience with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Benchmarks, or similar.



  • Architect solutions to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Must be able to author work instructions, best practice documents and scripts which can be followed by others.
  • Demonstrate the ability to master new and diverse technologies.
  • Proven ability to work well in and contribute to a team environment.
  • 5+ years of experience engineering and supporting the following technologies:




    • Windows Server
    • Exchange Online / Azure
    • Microsoft DLP policies (Purview)
    • Expertise with email firewalls and DLP polices


      • Proofpoint
      • Mimecast

    • Automation tools for example


      • PowerShell
      • Python
      • Ansible
      • Jenkins


  • Other experience and technologies that are a plus


    • VMware
    • Citrix
    • Patch Management Tools (Tanium, BigFix, SCCM)
    • Backup Technologies (Networker, Commvault, NetBackup)
    • ServiceNow experience for automating incident management, network performance monitoring, and change management workflows is a plus.
