Job Description Summary
The Product Validation Test Measurements Leader will be responsible for the test measurement systems innovation, design, fabrication, application, data acquisition and finally the network and data processing/analytics for our customers. Test Measurement team will direct the efforts of Instrumentation Engineering and Operations, Advanced Test technology, Instrumentation Application Shop (IAS) and Instrumentation Program Engineers (IPE).

Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver engineering data from test articles to support engine certification and qualification activities and technology initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a test measurement technology roadmap for next generation technologies, and needed improvements to existing technologies
- Ensure technical data generated by the assigned program is documented consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement a digital strategy to improve the accessibility and usability of test data to improve our customer outcomes
- Direct the instrumentation design and application efforts across all Product validation
- Minimize operational risk to engine mission, schedule and budget by owning milestones required to successfully plan, execute and evaluate engine and component test
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives specifically on quality data collection, instrumentation mortality, application errors, etc.
- Manage a team of senior professionals as well as 60+ nonexempt personnel to support 24/7/365 operations.
- Collaborate with Product Validation team on current and future workscope to ensure mission timelines meet short- and long-term business objectives.
- Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned organizational responsibilities, programs, and personnel.
- Effectively communicate operational and financial aspects of section activities vertically and horizontally in the organization
- Place a strong focus on employee and union relations and take proactive measures to promote growth, technical development, and enhanced interpersonal skills.
- Overseeing the deployment and integration of FLIGHT DECK's ten core fundamentals ensuring a standard approach across responsible functions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university
- 8 years of technical leadership experience
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Desired Characteristics:
- Engineering Master's degree
- Prior instrumentation (design/fabrication), electrical design, mechanical design, controls, embedded systems, data systems, network, cyber security and data processing engineering experience
- Familiarity with Test, Engineering, Supply Chain and Sourcing processes
- Previous section/department leadership experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
- Lean and or Six Sigma experience
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and proven ability to inspire excellence and stimulate change.
- Work collaboratively across product lines and across disciplines and organizations.
- Prior experience with a focus on managing technical programs and designing and developing new products related to solving product issues.
- Clear, strategic, and critical thinker; proven experience in translating strategies into actionable plans
